Total System Integration properly integrates human performance with the process.  Procedures form the interface between the process and the human interaction.  They act as an extension of the process map.  The training is then structured to prepare personnel for executing the necessary procedures.  Documentation is provided, as needed, to record vital information or as a resource in training or procedure execution.


This view sees human performance as an integral part of the overall process.  Training, procedures, and documentation are not viewed as separate or independent areas/functions but as integrated parts of human performance which in turn are an integral part of the overall process.  This reduces redundancies resulting in:
